Kalli Sherer
OSU Stock Horse Team President Kalli Sherer

Kalli is 20 years old and is a 2013 graduate of Tillamook High
School. She is currently attending Oregon State University
majoring in Animal Science with an option in pre-vet.

She has always loved animals and was raised on her family’s
dairy farm in Tillamook. Shebegan showing cows at 2 years of
age and has always had a deep love and appreciation for horses.

She began showing her horse in 4-H and most recently is a member of OSU’s Stockhorse Club.

Kalli co-founded the Tillamook High School Equestrian Team (OHSET) in 2010. Through OHSET she was able to rope, team pen and compete in cow classes like working rancher. One of her biggest accomplishments was placing second in state for team penning and team bi-rangle.

Any spare time Kalli has from her college classes, she can be found riding her horse, Jake. Kalli and Jake competed at several WSSH shows last year and are looking forward to the upcoming show season.

Lea Hudson
OSU Stock Horse Team Vice President
Lea Hudson

Born and raised in Amity OR, Lea grew up in the country riding
her friend’s horses. When she was in 7th grade she got her first
horse and started showing in 4-H with her best friend.

In high school, Lea competed on her high school’s equestrian team
which is where she was first introduced to the reining and cow horse
style of riding.

Lea and her horse Shotzy started showing at Reining Cow Horse events
and eventually found Western States Stock Horse Association last year.
They enjoy competing and love WSSH’s unique show format and friendly atmosphere.

Lea is a freshman at Oregon State University studying Animal Science with the goal of eventually becoming a veterinarian.

She joined the OSU Stock Horse Team and recently became vice president of the club. She really enjoys learning and riding beside her fellow club members at various clinics and the WSSH shows.

When Lea is not riding or at school she enjoys country line dancing, playing with shelter dogs and reading.
